The trustee scholarship is aim at assisting international fresh high school graduate with outstanding performance achieve their dreams and makes their stay at Boston University an incredible experience. The Scholarship covers full undergraduate tuition plus mandatory undergraduate student fees, and is renewable for four years if certain criteria are met.

How to Apply

·         To be considered for enrollment in one of BU's undergraduate degree programs, the Common Application and all necessary materials must be submitted by December 1. On the school’s portals

·         As part of your application to BU, finish the Trustee Scholarship essay on the Common Application.

·         Select one of the two questions below, write an essay of no more than 600 words, and submit it as part of your Common Application.

1.        Elie Wiesel, a professor at BU and Nobel winner, once said: "There is divine beauty in learning... Learning entails embracing the idea that life did not start with my birth. I follow in the steps of those who have gone before me who have arrived here. The novels I've read were written by a number of generations of instructors and students as well as dads and sons, mothers and daughters. I am made up of all of their endeavors and experiences. Is there a book, film, podcast or life- experience that has made you feel more connected to your personal history/identity, and what is the most important thing you learned from it?

2.       Describe a time when you felt out of your comfort zone or marginalized in a situation. How did you respond to that moment and how has it informed your actions moving forward?
