Victoria
International Excellence Scholarships are available for three years of study
and are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Students from all over the
world are welcome to apply for this program.
The
goal of this scholarship is to encourage high-achieving students to continue
their undergraduate studies at the university.

Victoria
University of Wellington was founded in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's
Diamond Jubilee celebrations, it was originally know as Victoria College
The
institution is well-known for its law, humanities, and several scientific
disciplines programs, but it also provides a diverse range of other courses.
All courses are open to first-year students, but several programs (such as law,
criminology, creative writing, architecture, and engineering) have restrictions
on second-year enrollment.
In both
2012 and 2018, Victoria received the highest average research grade in the New
Zealand Government's Performance-Based Research Fund exercise, after placing
fourth in 2006 and third in 2003. The QS World University Rankings has Victoria
placed 215th in the world's top 500 universities (2020)

in undergraduate degree programs at the university. Seekers can apply for this
studentship after receiving confirmation.

principal or nominee, as well as a one-page personal statement stating why you
want to attend Victoria University of Wellington, your academic aspirations,
and why you believe you are qualified for the program. Include any leadership

that are acceptable: Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be
considered for this grant:

These
scholarships are for overseas school leavers who have completed at least one
full year (i.e. their Year 12 year) in a New Zealand secondary school and are
planning to enroll at Victoria University of Wellington in Trimester 1 of the
year after application.
BENEFITS
A
$20,000 reward will be given out over three years. The awards will consist of
$10,000 for the first year of study and $5,000 for the second and third years
of study, assuming a GPA of 7 (A- average) is maintained. To keep the Victoria
International Excellence grant, students must also study full-time (at least
120 points each year).
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The last date to submit application to participate
in the following grant is September 1, 2022.
