scholarship aims to train young
individuals who are coming from newly industrialized countries and are highly motivated
to progress in their field of study.
The
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports approximately 100,000 German
and international students and researchers each year, making it the largest
financial organization of its kind in the world.
About
DAAD Scholarship
The
DAAD gives young people in Germany and around the world the opportunity to earn
international academic and research experience. The majority of international
DAAD scholarship recipients are Master's or doctorate students. At the
bachelor's level, there are extremely few scholarships available.
Since
its establishment in 1925, the DAAD has supported over 1.9 million scholars in
Germany and overseas. The DAAD is a recognized members association made up of
German higher education institutions and student organizations.

Criteria
for Eligibility:
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

Graduates
with at least two years of professional experience are required. They meet the
academic standards and can be anticipated to complete a study program in
Germany (above-average performance on the first academic exam – top performance
on the third, language skills).
·
Candidates
must have development-related motivation and will be required to assume social
responsibility and initiate and support change processes in their personal and
professional environments following their training/scholarship.

Documents
to Support: Applicants must submit all of the following documents as part of
their application: Hand-signed CV (use the Europass sample form at
http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/), and hand-signed letter of motivation (with
reference to current occupation) academic letter/s of recommendation (must have
letterhead, signature, and office stamp and must be recent), professional
letter/s of recommendation from your employer (maximum 2 pages) (the letters
must have a letterhead, a signature and office stamp and must be of recent
date), confirmation
of employment from your home country's employer, as well as, if possible, a
guarantee of reemployment upon your return, Evidence of language skills: a)
TOEFL or IELTS for English (Note: We only accept an academic TOEFL) b) German –
required for German-taught courses; if available, copies of awarded academic
degrees for English-taught courses (certified translation if necessary) -
transcripts of academic records (certified translation if necessary)

Applicants
must be graduates with at least two years of professional experience and a
Bachelor's degree (typically a four-year course) in an applicable field to be
considered for admission.
·
English
or German are required languages.
Benefits
The
DAAD scholarship for postgraduate studies in Germany covers all expenditures
for the selected individuals, which includes;
·
A
monthly stipends will be provided 861 euros for graduates or 1200 euros for
doctoral candidates
·
Academics
expenses will be provided
·
Insurance
for health and accidents will be given.
·
There
will be a travel allowance.
·
Accommodation
allowance will be provided for family members.
·
A
rent subsidy will be provided on a monthly basis.
